Community engagement is vital to the financial sustainability of rural hospitals. Communities that value their local hospitals and are engaged are more likely to utilize the services provided by the hospital.

 

As part of the 2019 FLEX Financial and Operational Improvement Program (Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program, CFDA 93.241), the Flex team at Georgia Southern University will be working in partnership with selected Georgia Critical Access Hospitals to complete a community engagement assessment and to develop an action plan for improving community engagement.
