Community engagement is vital to rural hospitals' financial sustainability. Communities that value their local hospitals and are engaged are more likely to utilize the services provided by the hospital.

 

As part of the  FLEX Financial and Operational Improvement Program (Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program, CFDA 93.241), the Flex team at Georgia Southern University will partner with selected Georgia Critical Access Hospitals to complete a community engagement assessment and develop an action plan for improving community engagement.
