Hospitals cannot improve what they do not measure. One important step for improving financial and operational performance is routine assessment of key performance indicators.

As part of the 2020 FLEX Financial and Operational Improvement Program (Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program, CFDA 93.241), the Flex team at Georgia Southern University will be working in partnership with selected Georgia Critical Access Hospitals to complete financial and operational assessments. Where possible, each hospital's performance will be benchmarked against state, regional and national medians.
