STRATEGIC PLANNING

When was the last time your hospital engaged in formal strategic planning?

CURRENTLY SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO COVID-19.

A strategic plan allows organizations to position themselves in the present, while projecting themselves into the future. Strategic planning is a processes that identifies what an organization wants to achieve and also defines how they’ll achieve their objectives. The strategic planning process helps organizations answer the following questions: What should we be? Where should we be? How should we proceed?

Strategic planning leads to improved organizational capacity, performance and viability.

As part of the 2019 FLEX Financial and Operational Improvement Program (Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program, CFDA 93.241), the Flex team at Georgia Southern University will facilitate strategic planning sessions with selected Georgia Critical Access Hospitals.
